Special Needs Advocacy Training

 

Participate as an equal member of your child's IEP Team

  • Learn how to use statutes& regulations to get answers to your questions;

  • write SMART IEPs goals and objectives,

  • learn how to create paper trails;

  • write effective letters, and use advocacy strategies to negotiate for appropriate special education programs

  • Build healthy working relationships with school personnel 

CPR/1st Aid Certification

 

Learn how to respond to Cardiac and breathing problems. Also learn how to respond to common First Aid emergencies. Certificate is issued upon successful course completion.

Special Needs Community Resources

 

Resources for parents and caregivers of children with special needs or chronic health problems. We help give you the head start in your search for support for your child's unique needs

Seizure Awareness Training
 

 This training is designed to provide parents and caregivers with information, strategies, and resources to better manage children with seizures.  The program helps you to recognize seizures and their effects, know current treatment options and their side effects, know appropriate first aid, develop a seizure action plan.

BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT

Losing someone  you love or care deeply about is very painful. It may feel like the pain and sadness you're experiencing will never lessen. There is no right or wrong way to grieve, but there are healthy ways to cope with the pain that, in time, can renew you and permit you to move on. Lean on us in your time of need.
